Engaging in a 50 state strategy to win in 2006 and beyond.

There are 435 seats up for grabs in the House of Representatives for 2006. Will the democratic establishment wake up and respond to the challenge of winning America back?

Will people engage and challenge Americans to think big for the future of our nation? Will democrats respond to the challenge?

A good article from Jerome Armstrong on MyDD.

--- A couple of months ago, I was in a DCCC meeting with their blogger Jesse Lee, and the new Executive Director, John Lapp, among others. Sitting around the table with them, it felt decidingly different then the last gang-- that this crew actually read blogs and was engaged in what we've been trying to do, and would work with the efforts out here to win.

Well, here is to not only hoping, but to taking action to make sure it does happen! Democrats should expect to continue losing if they don't have the backbone to stand up and fight when it counts.

It is time to take the fight to the backyard of each and every Republican district in America.

Winning is not always about winning a particular seat, it is about formulating messages that connect with communities. It is about a long term strategy to keep a healthy balance and hold politicians accountable to the people.

It is time to start talking about our values. This is a battle of winning not only votes, but the hearts and minds of good Americans.

For starters, Democrats need to make it a matter of economics and globalization. The world isn't getting any smaller and the pace of growth will continue to grow exponentially.

Ask yourself, are we preparing the children of today to be the competitors of tomorrow?
